DuPage Area Occupational Education System/TCD Announces New Director

(Addison, Illinois) – The DuPage Area Occupational Education System (DAOES) formally appointed Steve Clark as its new Executive Director. Beginning July 1, 2009, Clark will serve as Director for both DAOES and Technology Center of DuPage in Addison. The 14-member DAOES Board is the governing body for Technology Center of DuPage and 23 other Career and Technical Education (CTE) delivery sites in the DuPage area. Clark will take over the position from Dr. Alf Logan, who has served as Interim Director for the 2008-09 school year.

“We are excited by the appointment of Mr. Steve Clark as the next Executive Director of DAOES/TCD,” commented Dr. Nicholas Wahl, DAOES Board President and Superintendent of Hinsdale Township H.S. District 86. “We believe his previous experience as a director of a technology academy, coupled with his passion and energy for CTE, will serve the DAOES/TCD school communities well as we continue the thirty-five year tradition of excellence.”

Clark comes to DAOES/TCD with over 25 years of CTE experience. The last 3 years he has served as Director for the Decatur Tech Academy & Heartland Region Education for Employment System 390, which includes the region’s CTE high school campus. A central Illinois counterpart to Technology Center of DuPage, the Decatur Area Technical Academy also offers a variety of CTE programs for high school students from fourteen area school districts.
